New Layouts For Secret Mission

Ok, there is a new layout and rewards for the Secret Mission..

Now, you can see the Host of the mission..

If you click on the mafia name (for example : "Lileana" with yellow text on the screenshot above), it will take you to her Mafia Wars Profile.

You have to use "Switch" bookmarklets to go to her FaceBook Profile if you want to send her a message, let's say if there is an idle person on the mission.

Below screenshot also show the same thing... You can click on the mafia name of the Host, it will take you to his Profile..

They should have given us link to go to FaceBook Profile too, but I don't know if it is againts any rule between Zynga and FaceBook. Just wondering..

Also notice that there are some new reward items!

Wishlist (not really sure), collection, boost and lootable items are now Common rewards. Still we can get the Uncommon and Rare items! Here are some examples of the new reward items from helping in missions..

Well, getting rare collections is good, but cheap one is not! Also, why don't have have more than 1x boost? Come on, Zynga... don't be so stingy!

And hey, we also have new Achievements for the Secret Mission!

It's a good thing, new improvements I guess... so it's not boring anymore to help our mafia with their missions.. Go help any mission..

One thing that keep bugging me, lots of friends are asking why do they always get Easy Mission? They want to have Medium or Hard ones too!

I think it's completely random.. because I have hosted at least Medium and Hard ones.. Or perhaps the mission depends on our level? Does anyone have any clue about this, please?

MAFIA WARS : Changed of Stats for Heavy Loot Items

Attack:

Before Moscow, the max attack (without any godfather items) a player can have in the game was 56617 points, but with the introduction of the 2 new episodes of Moscow, this maximum has been raised to 62170.

If you pick the Vory side on episode 4 of Moscow you’ll have access to a new armor item: the Shtumovick (A45/D28) which is a considerable improvement compared to the Guerilla Squad (A34/D30). The introduction of this item has added 6000 more possible points in attack for the players who own 501 of them. My advice from a loot perspective only (without the two last episodes of Moscow I don’t know what can be the repercussion of this decision on the rest of the game) is to pick Vory in the chapter 4 of Moscow and to stick to it. The item you can loot from the Mafiya is the Orel Armored Helicopter (A24/D40), but we will see that with the fixing of the defense points of the armored state cars, this item is not a must for the game.

Defense:

Major changes have been made on the defense side with introduction of new items such as the Armored Briefcase in Episode 3 of Moscow or the PNV in episode 2 but also with the modifications of the defense points of some of NYC and CUBA loots. The main changes are as follow:

Weapons:
- Gaff hooks (in El Jefe tier in Cuba): before defense points 30, now 35 (definitely a must have)

Armors:
- Camouflage body armors (In El Capitan tier in Cuba): before 28 defense points, now 34 defense points. The upgrade of this item makes it the second best armor of the game after the Armored Briefcase and it is quite cheap to loot too.

Vehicles:
- Armored State Car (In El Padrino tier in Cuba): before 38 defense points, now 42.
- Private jet (In Boss tier in NYC): before 38 defense points, now 39.
- Armored Limousine (In Boss tier in NYC): before 36 defense points, now 37.

All these improvements have increased the max def a player can have from 49600 to 56716.

Note that some of the limited edition loot such as the Tiger Tank has been modified too (before D44, now D48) but they have a limited impact on the max defense.

Conclusion :

Fighting Basics

Greetings!

I am in the mood! I'll tell you later about what make me feel so happy now.. still about this game matters of course..

Now, let's study about the fighting basics.

For you high level players, I guess you don't need this anymore.. but I believe they are lots of newbies who still need guidance on this topic.

I took this from Zynga forum.. so credit goes to the forum (especially to Lil Ms Mandy)!

You need to have at least 501 mafia family members, the bigger the better! You can fight with up to 501 mafia members, and each can use one weapon, one armor, and one vehicle. The game will use the weapon, armor, and vehicle with the highest attack value when attacking and the highest defense value when you are attacked. It will use Loot items over Inventory items, meaning it will use the .50 Caliber Rifle over the Chain Gun.

Attack and Defense Skill Points

It is a common misconception that with a large mafia and good weapons there is no need to put a lot into attack and defense skill points. THIS IS FALSE. They are the biggest factor in determining the winner of fights. A good rule of thumb is to keep them at least double your level.

Note:

Attack and Defense Skill Points are added together when fighting, so it doesn't matter which you put them in. Speaking for myself, I like to keep them about even because you never know if they may change the fight formula to where it uses either attack or defense instead of adding them.

Health and Fighting

You can only attack someone when they are over 20 health. (except on the hitlist) Once under 20 health they are considers iced or to weak to fight. If they log out at that point, the system will not register them as healed enough to fight until they log back in the game. People use this method to hide from retaliation after using their stamina.

Fight List

From Levels 1-179 the fight list will show you opponents close to your level. Once you hit level 180 the fight list will show levels from 180 to the highest level in the game. To find people in your fight range when this happens look at the names on the hitlist or people from capo fights in your news feed. Don't be surprised at being attacked by people hundreds of levels above you. You see them on your fight list, they see you on theirs.

Well, sometimes there are bugs appear.. I often see on my mafia's wall that they still lower levels (example : level 100) but the fight list full of very higher levels (example : level 800) or more. This never happen to me.. but let's hope our Zynga team members could find a way to fix this.
