For more than a month, there were no Family Boss Fights. Today, Zynga decided to bring back this feature to life by releasing a new boss. Sad news is that the loots are not updated and pretty much has crap stats. The new Family Boss is named as the Mimi La Noir. She has a total of 1,000,000 Health.
The only difference in the loots are with the Superior section. The other loots are considered crap and most people would probably be aiming for the top place to earn the Superior loots.
If you need any assistance to deal more damage to the boss, you may use the combos as shown below.

family has always been filled with daily player that finish daily...
but as u know how zynga play with us, many are quitting the game. so now
we are looking for polite and social players who can finish daily.
Most of our players staying to play the game only because of the people
on the page and how fun they are to talk to...

We are on level 10 in family perks with 73 maniacs but still looking for more active icers to join us :)
Our Perks *
Our artillery station is on level 10 which will give u an instant 10000 Mafia
attack (+ 1500 mafia attack and defense from our family perks*).
Our Bunker is on level 10 which will give u an instant 10000 Mafia defense (+ 1500 mafia attack and defense from our family perks*).
Also our family battle meter got the badge of level 15 which is the last badge there.
We do endless time arranged friendly battles with families and with our friend's family.
The
main concentration of the family is to finish the daily family mission
and do extra ice, but a
side effect
to spend stamina faster and get high-end useful loot we got the family
bosses... we used to beat one every 1-4 hours.... now
many of our beloved players reset some when they are in the mood.....
depends on the activity of the other players.

2.Stay polite to all players from this family and out side this family no matter what happens.
3.DO NOT HITLIST ANYONE!
4.Try to help the people from the lower part of the list on the family boss fight with boosts.
5. Do not contact any other player or family in the name of our family! (also means do not post on their war pages etc)
Other
rules are about family boss rage, family battles and some intern
family page rules.... which all are simple and wont effect ur game play.
There will be no place for slackers. SO U WILL NOT BE THE ONLY ONE FINISH DAILY.As
all finish daily we expect the same from u as a fair trade for the
little spice u are going to have for being in an awesome free play
peaceful family :)

The 5th Family Bargain item is now on sale and available for purchasing. If any of your family member chooses to purchase 400 Sharktooths, every member of the Family would receive 10 Free Skill Points.
Each Sharktooth would cost you 35 Reward Points. I would personally not purchase this item as it's basically a bullshit bargain feature.

Bargain feature to a tab in the Marketplace. Again, do not purchase
anything from the Family Bargains feature.
The 4th item being sold via the Family Bargain sale is now here. If your family member chooses to purchase 400 Publicists, each and every member of the family will be given 10 Free Skill Points.
Each Publicist costs 35 Reward Points. It is totally not worth it, since no member in their right mind would actually purchase more than 1 of it, and most of the time, members tend to ignore Family Bargains.

Each Arabian Oryx costs 35 Reward Points. I would personally not purchase any items selling via the Family Bargain feature, if the same format of selling goes on.

The Family Bargain feature have returned, and is offering +10 Skill Points for the whole family, if your family members chose to purchase 400 Skeletons, WHICH IS STUPID. - Do not purchase any Skeletons! It is definitely not worth it. Spend your Reward Points on Energy Refills and such, which are better, yet useful.
1x Skeleton costs 35 Reward Points.... Look at it this way, would this item help out in your stats in the long run? No.. It will be useless in a short well and your Reward Points will go down the drain.

The latest release by Zynga is called the Family Bargain feature. No offense, but this is such a stupid feature. For the next two days, you can receive free Skill Points if your family members decide to purchase 400 Rain Ponchos. By purchasing 100, you receive +1 Skill Point; 200 for +2 Skill Point; 300 for +3 Skill Point and lastly, 400 for +4 Skill Points. In total, you will receive a total of 10 Skill Points, if your family members purchases 400 Rain Ponchos. Do not purchase any Rain Ponchos! It is not worth it!
The question is, who would be so stupid to purchase 400 Rain Ponchos? Yes, there is a max of 100 members in each Family, but no one would be stupid to even purchase more than 1 of it..

The new Family Boss Fight, Lily O'Valley, is now out and available for fighting within your family! Lily O'Valley has 1 million(1,000,000) health. The attack you deal, and the score you earn is similar to the previous boss, The Ice Queen.

Many have noticed the leader boards of the families already. not not many people know which one is for which kind of battle since there was no official words about it yet.

I have asked a support representative about them and that was his answer..
So the 1 hour family battle should be the skirmish leader board and the 4 hour family battle is the battle titled leader board :)
I also asked him since the leader boards werent updating about if they update it every time or once a day. He told me that they update it once a day at midnights.
Not sure if he is right (since some cs representatives got no clue) but i hope so :)

First all families lose a major chunk of their statistics. Zynga has not addressed this issue or restored the missing data and I'm not sure if they ever will.
Before fixing a problem, they decide to release another Family Module feature. It's called Family Battles and the idea is to be matched with other families who have close to the same stats as yours. How can they even compare when no families have accurate statistics? Here is a glimpse of what the feature will look like. It was pulled after a few minutes.
When you visit another family page, you will see the option to challenge them. Clicking on the button does nothing.
This isn't all you will find and there is a dangerous glitch going on, probably the result of trying to push out too much content. Go to any family page and you will be able to remove any member who is not an Underboss or Godfather/Godmother. Here are my friend from the Mafia Wars Gods and you can see I have the ability to remove them. Now I'm not going to do that and hopefully others won't either but all families are vulnerable at the moment.
Because there are so many douchebags who play Mafia Wars, don't be surprised if your family falls victim. The work around is to make all members admins or have a rejoining policy set up and prepare. This game is getting to be too much. They need to cool with the new stuff and fix the things that are broken. This is one serious glitch.

I'm very happy to report that the {ASS} Family got our tag back. It was funny to have the tag {N/A} for a day and we kind of got used to it. We even had a tag dispute as there are other {N/A} Families out there!

This wasn't the first time others tried to change us. Back in July there was a campaign on the Zynga forums to force us to change our name (1). It didn't work out for them and it didn't work out for the haters who claimed the word ass was offensive (1). If you don't like word ass, go play FarmVille and hope you don't run into a donkey or two. With the exception of the haters, most people like a big {ASS}.

The {ASS} Family is no stranger to drama. We have endured constant game and verbal attacks since we first showed up on the Leaderboard of the day the Death By Ice Event.
I created our Family for one purpose and that was to document Family events. All the drama brought us closer and we became a real Family. Not a warring Family but one that works together to help each other. We have been doing well with the Family Progression feature and recently hit Level 6.
Since we were the first Family to get there, we have been able to help the community by showing how much experience is required to get to Level 7. Zynga won't even tell us juicy bit of information. Thanks to Team Spockholm and the Family Mission bookmarklet, we have the numbers.
Apparently some players think that we shouldn't post our accomplishment on the Mafia Wars Loot Lady Fan Page as it looks like we are bragging. We provide up to date information and our fans come to our page to get just that. We are very active and many share our information with the community. In the past 30 days, our posts have been viewed almost 6 million times. I will continue to use information gathered from the {ASS} Family to make posts on this blog and members are free to post on the fan page as are all the other Families out there. If people don't like the content of our posts they are welcome to find a different source for Mafia Wars information.
For some reason, the haters can't deal with this and used a dirty tactic to try to bring us down. Our tag was reported as being offensive and Zynga removed it. The {ASS} tag is now the {N/A} tag. Score 1 for the haters. We are still a Family and will continue to do things just as before. We will continue to excel in Family events and features. Score 1 for the Assassin-a-Nators.

We weren't given prior notification of the change and aren't going to passively accept the decision. A few of our members contacted Customer Support for an explanation. Here is exactly what we were told as the reason our tag was removed.

I've received your case file from Adam and I do apologize for the trouble, Iain. It seems that your Family Tag was reported by a player for being offensive. Although I do understand this was just an abbreviation of the full Family name, due to the fact that it does resemble a curse word, customer support it unable to change it back to what it was.
This being the case, customer support can still assist in changing the Tag to something more suitable, but it must be the Godfather or Godmother themselves who request this. If it's not too much trouble, please try to have whoever is in control of the Family file a support request with a reasonable new Tag, and we will gladly change away from the N/A that you are currently seeing.

Hello, Zynga!!! YOU actually use the word "ass" in your own game? Offensive my {ASS}! It's rather obvious we fell victim to a mass reporting campaign. We are confident we will get our tag back. If we don't we will make a new one with symbols. This looks pretty cool: {Λ§§}. The joke is on all the people who took the time to report our tag.
