Warning No 1!

One of the Gods posting this screenshot on Mafia Wars Gods !!! group.

This is because they are snooping our accounts now and once they detect unusual activities, you will be warned!

Normally you will have this warning number 1 if you hit the limit 10K of gifting in a day.

Thanks to our 3rd party tools, they have put the limit notification on their bookmarklet.

I have done some tests between 2 tools ie Multi Gifter from FB Mafia Wars AddOn and Chucker from Arun's Mafia Wars Helper.

Please read on....

MULTI GIFTER

This is a great tool for sending gifts, where you don't have to unframe your game to send gifts. Find it from the Option list below :

Once you sent the items, you will see the result of your sending.

Too bad, eventhough I have sent more than 1 gift, the notification of gift limit only show the LAST sending only, not the total gifts I have sent for today.

So be careful on using this tool if you want to send LARGE amount of gifts

CHUCKER

This Arun's bookmarkelt is another great tool for sending gifts.

First, you need to unframe Mafia Wars game before proceeding to send. You know the drill already, right?

And there you will see the Gifting Limit notification under red bracket above.
This one is working good and you can see the ACTUAL limit of your gift sending for today.

So, don't hit the limit of sending if you don't want to get warning no 1!

If you see the warning in your account, just calm down.. don't play your game for few days.. don't send more gifts for few days.. and hopefully they will stop monitoring you and you can back enjoy playing your game.

New Inventory - Warning!

Ah, finally I have the NEW INVENTORY page..
I see the notification there above my Inventory tab.

So I have observed the new Inventory page..

First, there is a FILTER button there, you might want to use the filter to choose which items that you want to see from your Inventory..

Then click on Show Items...

After that there is a "Sort By" options..

Ok, let's try..

I have choose some filters..

and then the sort by ABC.. so here are the items that I want to see...

The items are not highlisted because I don't own them. Most of them are from the upcoming Special Events that I have posted yesterday..

Ok, let's try another filters..

Click on Show Items again and I choose sort by Attack, here they are my current Inventory :

And soon... and soon..

You can try this many times and decide how do you want to see your Inventory now.

One thing that we need to concern!

I have clicked on SUMMARY button on the screenshot below...

Was surprising me that it can give one random mafia Profile and I can see their Inventory!

Not good!

And just notice this, go to your Mafia Wars Profile and see at the bottom. Zynga made our Inventory to PUBLIC by deafult, now everyone can see our Inventory like the way we see it!

I believe that it's for players that have a New Inventory..

They must be crazy to make it like this!!!

Ok now all you have to do is click on "Change to private".

I just see that I have one email from a clan :

Everyone needs to go to their MW Profile page and go to the bottom and select make your inventory private. There is a new inventory GUI and Zynga choose to make your inventory public to everyone in the game as the default setting.

If you want to see your attackers or anyone's inventory that is public simply goto their MW page and goto the bottom and select look at their inventory!

Woot Zynga!!! Not a wise changing!!!

So please be informed about this, my friends... Quickly check your Mafia Wars Profile and if you see it as Public, change to Private!

Protect your Alter from Getting Banned

We know now Zynga are banning lots of our friend's accounts!

They are getting suspended with or without warning (most of time is without any warning).. It is said that they are banned because of they are violating Zynga ToS and other rules.. also if you have more than one account, you will get hunted and banned from Zynga lands!

Well, lots of articles write about how to avoid this.. Ali and Mak have kindly share the info with us... And I can not describe it better so please read on..

Hi Ade, A little tech thing.
Zynga is cracking on the Alter accounts and banning them by IP Tracking.
So to protect the alters, here is a little homework you gotta do.

[1]
Go to this link, and delete everything which has iesnare or mpsnare
http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

[2]
Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts [C probably the drive where your windows is installed]

You need to open the host file in a note pad.
You may see a list of 127.0.0.0 name of a program etc
At the bottom of this list paste this
127.0.0.1 iesnare.com www.iesnare.com mpsnare.iesnare.com ci-mpsnare.iovation.com

CLICK FILE SAVE

[3]

Go Windows start
In search bar type.
cmd
You will see a black window open ‘your command line’
At the flashing cursor type this ping iesnare.com
Hit Enter

You should see something similar to this.

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7600]
Copyright (c) 2009 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

C:\Aly\Documents and Settings>ping iesnare.com

Pinging iesnare.com [127.0.0.1] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 127.0.0.1: bytes=32 time<1ms ttl="128" bytes="32" ttl="128" bytes="32" ttl="128" bytes="32" ttl="128" sent =" 4," received =" 4," lost =" 0" minimum =" 0ms," maximum =" 0ms," average =" 0ms">

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING LIKE THIS GREAT YOU ARE CLEAR.

If you see ping test failed or failed anywhere you need to try this procedure again.

If done correctly iesnare now thinks your computer is iesnare.com

Now you and your alter is Fully Protected =)

Thanks Ali for the good info!

You can try this tips if you want to be protected..

For more info about how to protect your accounts from Zynga action, you might also want to read these articles sent by Mak : Zynga Crack Down and this one : Blocking iSnare for good from Spockholm page..

MW Account Suspend!

This is a bad news for you a cheater, hard core players or traders (including loot sellers)!

Zynga is taking action now.. For you who use illegal way of injecting Reward Points, or use some scripts which is making unusual activities, or doing lots of trades, etc.. they will freeze your Mafia Wars account!

Here is one of the example..

One of my trading friends got suspended!

He has contacted Zynga Support but only got replied that it is a permanent one, so he got banned forever! That's hurt!

Another friend which is already at level 17K (one of Top Mafia ever) also got banned because too fast on doing jobs!

They don't get any warning.. just got their account suspended.. No way to get their account back now..

Well, better play safe now, my friends.. We have invested many times, money and internet bills to build our Mafia Wars account.. Don't use any cheat, any glitch, anything that will make you feel sorry in the future..

You have been warned!

Free 45 FB Credit Promo - SCAM!

Yesterday, I saw this on my friend's wall..

Then I saw it on some others wall too...

I asked them if it is legit or not... All of them are saying it is NOT!

Actually I was curious before I have their answers and tried it.. The screenshot is showing that it looks like legit!

I followed some instructions and it ended up that I have to fill on surveys which are not available for my country...

Some friends only have white blank page... and some has form to call some numbers, etc etc...

So, if you see this on your friend's wall... Ask them to remove it from the feeds.. it is scam!

PS : Thanks to Cohen, Keith, Ling and some other friends for the help...

Warning : PayPal Email Scam!

This is a warning post for PayPal players.. also to all players around the world!

Blue Eyed Nate from Zynga Forum made this post yesterday, please read on for your safety..

Like he said, id you received any suspisious email either from FaceBook, PayPal or any account, do NOT click on any links within that email!

Seems like bad hackers always try to find new ways to steal your account. So be careful on sharing your info (such as Date of Birthday, email, etc) on your FaceBook Info.

And remember to change your password regularly (FaceBook and email password).

You have been warned!

Hacker Attack!

Hacker finds another way to steal our account..

Now, they don't just take our FaceBook account, but also our email account!

Got one email from a clan reporting that one of their clan member is being hacked by someone he just had friended.

It was reported that while he was participating in a Mafia Wars Mock War, he had accepted a friend request for Mafia Wars from a "xxxxxxxxx". She sent him a message, chatting him up, then asked him to click on a link to add her to his GMAIL Chat. He did this and it immediately logged him out from Facebook and GMail.

I don't know the real look from her invite, but I also got similar invite from someone on my email..

My advise is NEVER click on ANY link given by somebody you have just known!

We never know if the link provided is legit or not.. Like the example above, you don't have to be her friend on Gmail Chat.. no need to click to Sign Up or Join..

Be careful from now on, my friends.. We have built our account so diligently everyday.. Don't let it to be taken away by a bad person... You have been warned!

Email From Hacker!

Another info about one new way of scam on FaceBook..

Thanks a lot to DM for the info..

Here is a new scam from hackers, got it today in my inbox

DM

Here is the screenshot of his inbox..

(Click on the image to enlarge)

If we look closer, the sender is using the icon of Zynga Texas Hold'em Poker.. You will never realize that it is a fake email from one hacker!

And I don't know what will happen if you click on the link given there...

But I see that our friend here is opening one tab of Zynga Customer Support.. I guess he is asking confirmation about this winning to them.. Good move, my friend..

That's why finally he found that the email is scam!

The lesson is don't be to happy if you receive one such winning email on any game!

I don't think Zynga will give partial email to some winner of one event!

They will make an official announcement about the winning, just like we have on Vegas now.. if you happen to click on the link already, please change all of your login info..

Be careful, guys...

Another FaceBook Scam?

Lots of Mafia Wars players lost their account because some bad people use their computer ability to steal FaceBook accounts!

They create one script and will make a template that similar with the normal FaceBook layout or some screenshot from one game, so you will not have any hesitation to click on the provide link they gave there...

Please read the experience of this fellow of mine, Herbie..

I received mail this morning in my personal inbox from Facebook, and it looks genuine. It told me that I had deactivated account and that I could re-activate it by logging in. I knew I hadn't and I didn't respond to the mail. Not one to panic anybody, but just in case this thing is yet another way to hack into accounts, I'm passing the info to you.

Be aware of it if you get a similar email, don't click blindly, check these things out first!!

Wow, I would be confused to read the email and probably will click to reactivate my account right away!

But wait! Please think about it for a while before you click on anything..

Did you do any violation of FaceBook so you got this email? Did you get any pink slip from FaceBook? They should have warned us first before they deactivate our account, right?

So Herbie just ignored and deleted the email!

He has a normal FaceBook activities until now.. has no warning or being disabled for not clicking the button on the screenshot above..

This post is meant as a warning to you, my friends.. Please think first before clicking any link sent to you by any sources.. if you happen to click on it, quickly change your password or even better, create a new email to login to your FaceBook account!

PS : Thanks for the sharing, Herbie... Have a nice day!

"Secret Stash" For Hacking

Lately I feel so lazy to collect loot from the secret stash feature.. I always try to get the loots sent on my wall page..

Check the screenshot below please..

Yep! Looks like I am unable to get the loots each time I click on the "Get your loot" button there..

Does our mafia get the secret stash loot when we help them on this feature?

By the way, I heard rumor about secret stash which being used for hacking our account!
Saw this post on one page : Surabaya Downtown Mafia.

Some cracker (bad hacker) can simply embedded javascript into this Secret Stash. If you click on the modified "Get your loot" button sent by them, it will instantly send our session cookies to their computer.

Of course they will be able to do bad thing, for example : stealing our loots!

Well, I am not an expert of this issue.. but we can prevent this loot thiefs from doing their action!
How to?
There are several ways :

• Checking whether it is a genuine Secret Stash from Zynga or not!

Move your mouse on top the "Get your loot" button, don't click on it yet! We will just check it first. The real link is like this one :

http://apps.facebook.com/inthemafia/index.php?next_params=...........
See the screenshot below..

The modified link will be started with the text "javascript:...". Never click on the link! Quickly remove that secret stash from your wall!

Feel free now to click on get loot if you have checked it..

• Second way, from now on, be cautious if you see ONE person send you to get the loots from this in a sequence of numbers, quickly remove him/her from your FaceBook friends!

Let's say they send 3 Secret Stash requests in a series..
It will be impossible someone can do 2 or 3 in a row!

I can not explain furthermore about this as I am not one hacker! Just for you information, my friends.. Be safe!

Fake MWM Group!

This is the second time I post about this group!

Someone has created this group and put the title of "mafia wars maniac". I don't mind with the title as I don't have copyright and anyone can create this very simple...

But then the creator started to copy-paste the links of my blog posts there!

I can not contact the creator since he/she cowardly hide the identity.

It was several months ago, and after they have more than 22K fan pages, it stop copy-pasting my blog links.

Now, they are doing it again! See above screenshot, please..

Why are they doing this?
Do I get benefit on this group? NOT!

• First, they don't ask for my permission to post my blog posts there..
• Second, they are spamming the walls with any promoting games outside of Mafia Wars and FaceBook network for their profit.
• Three, they are selling loot items to the fans of that groups using my name!.

Yes, getting fans easily and take advantage of my hard work... really irritating me..

If you care with me and appreciate my work on this blog, kindly visit the group and REPORT it to FaceBook, please.

Visit the group here :
http://www.facebook.com/pages/mafia-wars-maniac/101013806606859?v=wall&ref=ts

Don't click to LIKE it! Simply browse below the page and click on REPORT PAGE as shown on this screenshot.

You can choose any report you like, SPAM is a good choice.

If you are a clan member, an admin of a group or a GodFather of one clan, please share about this info and report the page as SPAM!

I have tried to forget about this group but still they use me and still it hurts!

Please help me to suspend this group.. I beg you, my friends.. thanks in advance for the kind help..

Hope this kind of group will never exist in the future..

Big Z on Patrol!

Got this info from a friend..
He joined some trading groups and there are some of the Trusted Traders accounts disappeared!

It said that Zynga is snooping the accounts which using the Clone scripting few days ago.. some accounts has already being reset and some got disable! And they even blocking the IP!!!

Zynga is tracking back your accounts! So are you the one who did it?

I hope this is all only rumors! And if this is true, I hope that you can escape this time, my friends.. They have told on the forum that they will not considered any cheating for the game..

The purpose of playing game is to have fun! Not only punishing the cheaters but also making improvements on any features.. Let's hope the best from this game!

Clone Scripting

Ok, I know that there is a script for cloning items out there, but please don't use it!

This script is use to make a clone of your item.. can make you have more items if you put the items on your wishlist.. use the script on your browser and the script will run until a certain times...

The result is this script will ruin Zynga servers.. so somehow this loop hole will take advantage of this busy servers..

You will have chance to RECEIVE more items on your wishlist or LOSE items on your wishlist..

What's the script anyway?
Feel free to leave the script on the comment section (if you know it)..

But I really suggest you NOT to do this.. because Zynga will do some patrols and your account will be "paused" for investigation.. (hopefully not!)..
Use at your own risk!

Is This True? NOT!

Again, old posting but I think this is important to share.. because we will always have this kind of spam (or scam) telling the fake offer...

As far as I know, Zynga will never giving away LOTS OF free Reward Points since this is dealing with their income! Once you visit the link given there, it will automatically published on your FaceBook wall and suggest to all your friends to join the link..

This kind of groups are telling lies and take advantage on this event.. worst, the creator can somehow hack into your account.
So be careful on accepting or joining any of groups invited by your friends! Specially the one you don't know.. they can be spammers or scammers or hackers!

If you have joined the groups or in this case have published the link, you can just remove it from your wall or for groups you can remove yourself. Don't forget to change your password frequently! Even I have my account hacked yesterday for being careless... be ware!

PS : Thanks to M Arif for the screenshot!
