We still have this event on our account, although we have no more presents to be opened. Eventhough you have, this present will be converted to Mystery Bag instead of blue, red or green present.

He managed to open at least 200 free gifts from his mafia familes. Nice, Ankit!

Some of you have problem for not able to claim the Grand Prize ie Auld Lang Syne weapon.. Well, Zynga awared about it and working on the solution. Now if you have collected 45 gifts from your tree, you will be awarded with this :

Haha! I got 45 gifts and able to claim my prize of Auld Lang Syne weapon!

So sorry if you don't have 45 gifts, you can not get this weapon..

Lots of friends have 45 gifts (even more) but they don't get this ultimate weapon.. The best way is to contact Zynga Customer Support and provide them with screenshot showing that you got enough presents to claim it. Good luck, guys..

Hmm, I don't have all items.. if you see the item quality, I don't have the Superior item ie Mobile Garage and also 2 of Ultimate items..

Perhaps there is a way to get more presents?

I think I still have plenty of un-open Holiday Sacks and some of friends still sending me gifts! So it's a glitch, you can still sending and opening your presents even you have opened 45 gifts!

I got 17 presents now...

Darn, still missing few items..

Robbing Success = Lump Of Coal?

Ok, the New Year's Eve is coming very soon..

We're still trying to upgrade our Christmas tree and collecting the presents to get maximum number ie 45 presents.

But some players find it so hard to get lots of presents.. Everytime they try to collect presents from robbing, the prize is always Lump Of Coal!

Here is one example from Phil.. Please read on his email to me..

With the new Protect the Presents operation going on and having to rob others to get items to upgrade your tree and get new presents, I've been having a very annoying problem. When I am successful in robbing someone's tree, around 90% of the time I've been receiving a "Lump of Coal" instead of a present or an upgrade part.

You can see my result in the screenshot below..

I've contacted Zynga about the issue, but I was told it was a "technical error" and it would be forwarded, and there was nothing he could do other than give me 3 of each of the upgrade items, not even a present.

That was 2 days ago, and I still haven't heard back from them. I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but when you get a success shouldn't you at least get an upgrade part? I have managed to get my tree fully upgraded, but I already have 123 "Lump of Coal"s and growing.

Here is his Lump Of Coal by the time he sent me this email..

And sadly, here is the screenshot of his Christmas tree.. Can only able to get 16 from 45 gifts..

According to Phil he must be on a bad server or something because every time a new feature comes out he feels like he's among the last to get it!

My alter only have 5 from 45 gifts!

I was managed to get almost 45 of presents but somehow Zynga reset back my Protectors everyday and my opponents steal lots of my gifts! I also got Lump Of Coal whenever I help my friends as their Protectors and from robbing... and I feel bored to ask for more Protectors.. I really hate this event!

Still the best way is by sending Holiday Sack from Free Gifts and ask your beloved family to send back to you and don't open it yet!

Wait until a day before New Year's eve or so.. make sure that you have enough gifts so you are able to get the Grand Prize...

Still have 2 days before the event end...

Christmas Tree - Fully Upgraded - No Fix Ratio for gift boxes

This is a message sent by -Ra- yesterday..

Looks like there is no fix ratio or numbers for how many green/blue/red boxes you will get, for example I got 14 green, 16 blue and 15 red boxes totaling 45 boxes.. so all I got to do now is to protect them...

But check on our friend's tree below.. Gunther has more than 45 gifts!

If we check on Tis The Season For Robbing 411 and FAQ they have explained this :

All presents regardless of color are of equal value. Be sure to upgrade the Tree to level 5 so the maximum amount of 45 gifts can be stored.

A glitch, huh?

Don't forget to check this one :

**Users who fully upgrade their Tree and mange to safeguard and open the maximum of 45 gifts (Level 5 Tree with maximum stored gifts) will earn the Grand Prize, the Auld Sang Lyne (ATT 110, DEF 135). Be sure to fully protect your Tree prior to New Years Day to ensure the ultimate reward item is achieved***

And open all your present on December 31th.. make sure to play on that day..

Update News - Tis The Season For Robbing 411 and FAQ +Troubleshooting

There is an update info about this event No Crime Like The Present or used to be 'Tis The Season For Robbing event!

But never mind the name..

Remember that we have Customer Support page which giving detail info about the upcoming/ongoing event.. They work diligently on updating the articles there.. I suppose that they should be placed inside our Game News?

So we don't have to search for them on the Customer Support page..

Naaah, they have added some Secret Tips.. Let me paste it here..

**Secret Tip**

If you haven't received your gifts, your tree will be empty. An empty tree cannot be robbed. However, you will need a full tree before the clock strikes midnight, Pacific Time. It is a good idea to make sure your tree is fully upgraded to Level 5 and make sure your tree is full before the timer runs out on December 31st.

Also, they are aware with some bugs.. Here are some solutions :

12/22 9PM PST - Outstanding bugs

1) Only 5 Mafia Members can click on each request for Tree Protection. Temporary solution - Post a new request for Protection. You will be able to get to #6.

2) Trees on Robbing Boards are occasionally preventing the rest of the board from being able to be robbed. No stamina is used on incomplete robberies. Temporary Solution - Save the Tree until last on a board, or switch cities to do a different robbing board.

And they have added one important tips to protect your tree and ask for the help from your mafias..

How To Max Out Your Christmas Tree

Ok, here is one trick from -Ra- for you if you want to max your Christmas tree very fast..

Still need some efforts and Stamina to do that..

Please read on..

Hey..

I figured it out last night and is sharing it with you but its up to you if you want to share it on your blog, some of your blog followers will be happy but I am sure there will be some who will hate it.

1. Go to Robbing
2. Only rob Christmas trees (6 stamina)
3. Get new targets (9 Stamina)

You will get a Christmas tree decoration piece or a gift box every time you rob a Christmas tree and this way you will have enough decorations to reach level 5. If you spend few hundreds Stamina plus you will get hold on some gift boxes too.. well if you want more gift boxes to max out you know what you got to do... ;)

Side note: as we saw from earlier post we can also get two different version of lump coal from robbing...

Well some may be happy to get their Christmas tree maxed out fast but remember you are robbing from another Mafia Wars player and you may not want to do that on Christmas. So choose what you wanna do, spread some gifts or loot them from others..

I have discussed about this here on my post : No Crime Like The Present! that we have options to get the decorations :

1. Spamming your friend's wall to beg for them.
2. Use Reward Points to buy decorations (NOT recommended).
3. Rob someone's tree
4. Opening Holiday Sack for random presents

And robbing is one of fastest way because you can do it by yourself without bothering your mafia friends at all.

Just go to Robbing page..

Rob this Christmas tree using 6 Stamina..

Click to refresh to get new targets (spent 9 Stamina) and you have a new Christmas tree to rob!

More trick from another friend....

Simply go to each city and Rob the tree only, then instead of refreshing the Robbing page, or clearing the Robbing board, if your patient you can wait about 20-30 mins.

Then simply refresh your Mafia screen, and it seems the robbing board tend to time out and it will give you a new robbing board, with another New Tree to rob in each city.

So if you have the patience you can do this and not waste any stamina.

If you're lucky, you will have this present..

Or this one for doing crime robbing someone's tree on Christmas..

Also yesterday I have asked you about how many Burners you have now?

Well one friend got more than 300x Burners.. so if you don't succeed on robbing one tree, you can use this burners.. (Since when we're able to get so many Burners?)

I finally have maxed out with my tree.. but I don't want to collect all my presents on Zynga Message Center now.. It's hurting to have them all on my tree but then somebody just steal it from me..

So I keep them there and will open few days before New Year's Eve come..

To send back the gifts, you can send them via Free Gift page..

Help Protect My Presents, Please

I see lots of friends questioning about how to overcome their problem when they want to ask for protection from robbers!

One friend of mine sent this info to my inbox...

I will share it here... All credits go to original creator!

★ If you're getting the "Failed" or "Feed limit" when asking others to help protect your gifts / send ornaments / etc:

Here is the example when it's failed!

Here is the one which is error..

★ Go to 'Account' at the top right of your Facebook page
★ Click on 'Privacy Settings'
★ Under 'Apps and Websites' on the bottom left, click on 'Edit your settings'
★ Click on 'Mafia Wars'


You will see all settings about Mafia Wars application.

★ Check if 'Post to my Wall' is there. If it is, click on 'remove'
You will have ability to load and publish it to your friend's wall..

Hope this will help you on asking more help..

I see that somehow my protectors have dissapear from the box.. why this is happening?
