Rackets Refund!

Lots of players got the full refunds from their Influence in Rackets, while some unlucky players only got few from what they deserve..

I have posted the one that didn't get full skill points from the amount of his Influence, but this one is the example of lucky one..

All I can suggest is you submit a ticket to Zynga Support team..

Enter "Rackets" on the search box.. press the SEARCH button.. then on the answer page, you can see "envelope image" at the right side bar of CONTACT US box..

Write to them about your problem.. provide with screenshot is better.. also provide with your user ID..

Rackets Is Gone!

We got sad news! Rackets is now gone changed to Properties..

Here is an email sent by our friend.. He had this pop up message on his game..

There is a problem though. The makers aren't giving back the entire amount of skill points invested into the Influence category. If you use rackets regularly, like me, then you're points are constantly revolving and being used. So I had 179 points invested into rackets and only received 31 skill points in return. Someone isn't doing their job correctly because it would make no sense to not give back the entire amount invested.

I have attached 2 screenshots. Before and after of having influence points and then not having them and only having the 31 skill points. The third screen shot is the message you will get if you had rackets and had them changed over to properties.

Also, wanted to mention a good thing about the change. I had completed every racket to the fullest and once it changed over I was given lvl 70 to all properties minus the Chop Shop."


This is his account taken few days ago.. we can see that he had 179 Influence..

And they only give him 31 Skill Points to upgrade his stats..

Ok, let's say Zynga doesn't give him back the whole Influence, but at least they keep their words of giving 51 Skill Points! Or just a typo??? I don't know..

I'm sure lots of Rackets players are feeling very sad and disappointed right now.. Perhaps Zynga only take an action based on Polling result several days ago on their forum (I have posted about the Poll, remember?)

Now, all you can do is submit a ticket to Zynga Support Team to complain about this and ask what you deserve!
Provide your email with screenshots and also user ID..

From Zynga: FROM RACKETS to PROPERTIES

We are working on integrating Customers with Rackets to have Properties. Here are some common questions from our Customers:

? Will my influence points be transferred?
- Yes, your influence points will be transferred to unused skill points when you receive Properties.

? What about the ...Achievements I was never able to get, such as Cashing Out and Slum Lord? Will I be able to get these?
- We are working on integrating these achievements to the new property system so that they, or an equivalent achievement, will be available.

? Why am I getting Chop Shop items when I don't even have a Chop Shop?
- When you are converted to properties, you will be able to use the items to build your Chop Shop.

? When will the transition take place?
- Soon! But we cannot disclose an exact date at this time.

I hope this is right and can be applied soon.. but I notice lots of Rackets accounts don't want to lose their Racketeering.. Because Rackets can give good boosts for fighting and robbing, as well as Energy boost.
And with all the new achievements about Properties, really making us confuse about this..
So just wait and see what will going to happen with the Rackets..

Mystery Bag - Boost!

Sorry for late posting.. I had a fun week with my family on the beach.. How's your weekend, my friends?

Btw, I still wanna talk about Mystery Bag item.. I know that some of have have not see these boosts..

• Surveillance Camera : boost from Racket (we'll need them when robbing is back)
  
• Money Sock : you know it.. it's the bonus from re-vaulting Money Laundering Collection
• Boutonniere : bonus from re-vaulting Orchids Collection in Bangkok, but now it has changed with Hyper Alert Sentry.

So you can add those boosts above on our wishlist.. and hopefully if your mafia send you Mystery Bags, you'll have a chance to have those boosts..

Ok, I'm so happy to read this game news..

I know that some of you hate this feature of robbing.. we don't want bad guys to rob our properties, right??

We can not do nothing about it when stronger mafias bring their mob and rob us! Putting police line there.. and we need to repair and add more protection... Geezzz!!!

But it's fun! Of course if you have stronger account..

And the question now is what about the racket things???

Don't worry guys.. I'm sure they have thinking about this issue.. I bet lots of bug.. but it's ok..

I've been trying to start a new character for an energy account but i just don't get the class selection option anymore. It just makes me a Maniac by default. Somehow i got it on an account but the graphics is weird. Check it out!

Yes, it's random now.. so not every players got the same option of characters. It chosen randomly by the game.

And about the weird graphics, I don't know is it permanent like that or it's just temporary? Because the sender didn't reply my email anymore. I guess it just because of the bug..

Well, what can I say.. This is an online game.. surely there will be more bugs in the future. So, if it is a sweet glitch, use it wisely.. take advantage on it.. if it is disturbing your game, report to them soon... and some are just for fun!

How Using Influence for Rackets Works

Rackets come in four flavors: Cash, Attack Boosts, Defensive Boosts, Job Boosts. Each Racket requires you invest Influence into it and then wait for a specified amount of time for the Racket to finish. Once the timer expires and the Racket is complete, you get back your Influence investment + the reward (cash or boost).

It's important to think of these Rackets as investments (rather than purchases) because you get 100% of your Influence back when you collect on the Racket. This is important because you only GAIN 1pt of Influence every hour. You don't get a refill on level ups like you do with Energy and Stamina.

So in other words, it would take you 24 real-time hours to GAIN 24 pts of Influence. So getting back your Influence investment by collecting is absolutely critical to being successful at Racketeering.

However, once a Racket is ready to collect, you have a very limited amount of time to collect on the racket before it is "busted" and you lose your Influence investment. Given the slow regen timer on Influence, the Influence loss from a "busted" job is much more hurtful than losing the cash or extra boost.

Influence Skill Points

When you increase your Influence skill, you increase the amount of Influence you can "hold" at one time. The maximum amount you can you hold is 20% greater than the number of skill points you have invested. So if you have 20 Influence skill points, you can "hold" up to 24 Influence points at one time (24/20). However, just like an Energy Pack, you stop GAINING pts from the regen timer if your current Influence is greater than the amount of pts you have invested.

This means that with 20 skill points, the largest Racket you could invest in would have a 24 point cost. If the Racket you want to invest in has an Influence cost greater than that amount, then you'll need to increase the number of skill points. Otherwise, if it is equal to or less than 24, there is little reason to invest more skill points into Influence. This is critical because investing skill points above that number is wasteful and they could be better spent elsewhere.

Re-Investing Influence

The reason this is wasteful is because if you manage it correctly, you'll never exceed 24 pts. Lets say that the Racket you use most often requires 16 Influence. You would invest that 16 Influence into a Racket.

The regen timer ticks away gaining you additional Influence. When it reaches 16 again, you invest in a second Racket. Then you collect on your original Racket, gaining back the original 16 investment and immediately re-investing it back into a new Racket.

As long as your Rackets don't bust, your total amount of Influence invested in Rackets continues to increase. The only limitation is the total number of Rackets you have at the same time (based on the number of slots purchased - 20 max).

Rackets & Influence

I wanna try to discuss about this feature. I still don't have personal experience of having one, but I read a lot and would like to share the knowledges here. Enjoy!

Rackets are a replacement for Properties for some beta accounts (and new players). There are tiers that open up after you master the first tier of each racket. For example, when you master the Three-Card Monte racket a new tier opens up called Backroom Poker. Master that and Executive Game opens up and so on and so forth. You must return to collect on the racket after it completes or it gets busted by the cops and you lose the money and the influence!

Influence is a new stat that is available on some beta accounts. Influence is used to invest in Rackets.

Influences replenishes 1 point per hour. It does not refill on level-up. The maximum amount you can you hold is 20% greater than the number of skill points you have invested. So if you have 20 Influence skill points, you can "hold" up to 24 Influence points at one time (24/20).

1 Skill Point = 1 Influence

New Rackets to Manage

Rackets come in four flavors: Cash, Attack Boosts, Defensive Boosts, Job Boosts. The Attack, Defense and Job rackets each generate an initial count per instance, until the job is mastered. After mastering, you are then awarded an additional boost each time you collect the racket. For example, the Taxi Stand Racket initially generates two Free Ride boost every four hours. After you have mastered the racket you will be awarded with three Free Ride boost every four hours.

New Feature : Racketeering

Yes, Zynga team still develop new business on Mafia Wars game. Now it's only applied to new players but soon will available for all players!

Here is a screenshot of a post on Zynga's official forums by Parizad "Community Manager". I wanted to screenshot it just so that we'll always have it as evidence in case Zynga change's their mind. (Yonks stated)

"Our longtime players will not have their properties taken away, but we are going to give them really good reasons to cash them in."

Hope they keep they words! It will be fun, of course!!!

I don't know if Zynga will switch our currently properties with this new stuff, it will really ruining our program to gain the trillion achievement or more. Hope they can simply add this as a new element or just new tab "Business" in New York or something better.

Dear Zynga, please make it easier for us and keep your words to make this game more fun!
