Golden Promotion and New Bonuses
Look for new and exciting bonuses when you reach the next level and share your rewards with your mafia. This feature is not yet activated on all accounts.
Our Gods from Mafia Wars Gods !!! ie Lady Maria Theresa and Fong Whyte give us a detail explanation about this new promo and bonus when you level up. Thank you very much!

Golden Promotion and New Bonuses
1. Not everyone has this as of yet
But this promo works from all levels, from newbie up to Gods! (Please check this screenshot below).
2. You receive a level up reward every level and a milestone reward (Golden Promotion) every 5.
3. To receive a reward you must allocate all available skill points at the time.
Just spend the Skill Points once you have the levelling pop-up appears.
4. If you miss a level, you miss the reward.
So please notice when you're about to level up.
5. Best regular rewards are +1A or +1D.
6. Best milestone rewards are +3A or +3D...there is also sometimes RP(s) and some nice loot.
7. Sharing rewards
a. Regular rewards can be shared with 3 people...the link remains valid subsequently so if you claim what should be a "good" reward after the sender has leveled up again and gotten a junk reward, you will get junk
b. Milestone rewards can only be shared with a select group (though Fong has figured out a work-around for this)...by claiming the regular reward once the milestone reward becomes available. Also, currently this sharing of milestone rewards by the normal process seems not to be working...people clicking on the gift get an error message saying they can only claim gifts sent to them. Also, even if working, there is a limit, I think 20, to how many you can share a day.
8. The rewards one can claim for oneself appear to be limitless...a test run done by Fong yielded 10 skill points in less than 8 hours. (It will quite vary among players since Fong actually tested 48 levels resulting 10 Skill Points only).
9. The rewards you can get from others is limited to 3.
10. From Fong's Live Chat with Mafia Wars CS : Your milestone share list may only consist of friends who don't play Mafia Wars or even if it does, low-levels only. (But from the 2nd screenshot, we can see that high level mafia can also accept the rewards, this is still confusing...). The program is called Golden promotion and this bonus feature is to encourage them to play Mafia Wars.
I can not describe further about this promo as our 2 Gods have given their best explanations.
Just hope that all players have Golden Promo and new bonus soon. Once again, thanks to Lady Maria Theresa and Fong Whyte for the kind info and let me to share this on my silly blog.

is it possible that i can alter some of the link parts so that i can send it to select people in my mafia? i rally hate wasting good Golden promotion bonuses to people who does not even play the game anymore :(
