The representative of PAC (Player Advisory Committee), LynnDeanne, is sharing info about Gifting Events on Zynga Forum Board Quick PAC Updates : Gifting Events.

Here is what our beloved Developer "Blue Eyed Nate" says about the Gifting Events :

"We have heard your cries about the gifting event! We are making changes and ask that you be patient!
There is nothing we can do about this next gifting event as that one is bagged and ready to go, but we will be trying out new events which will provide the same type of rewards with a more rewarding player experience." 

More info will be posted soon on Zynga forum board, at mean time I am happy to hear this one.
