Yes, there will be more Special Event on Mafia Wars game soon. Usually it will take place on the weekend so you'll be in front of your computer all time, begging and spamming your friends with your pleas... 

I wonder where these events will stop?

Nate, the Mafia Wars Community Manager, has told us about this here.

They heard us and will stop this spamming events soon (or giving enough spaces), right after the "ready to go" events over!
