It simply means that Zynga have broke all third-party scripts which were used to generate gifting links, so none of them would work at the moment. Unless any scripters are able to get past this, it would then start working.
However, it seems as Zynga wants all gifts to be accepted via ZMC, but they are not doing anything to increase the limit to 200 in the ZMC..

There is another way for sending gifts while the link are down, its the old skewl way if anyone is interested.
