Several of my friends and I aren't able to recruit people nor are we able to send gifts or ask for presents. When it asks to select a person to send something to, no matter how many people you select it always says "Please Select Some Friends First".
Attached is a screen shot of the error. In this example, I had selected 2 friends to send something to.
I don't know is it a bug or is it because probably we have used it already and we need to wait for 24 hours before sending more. And I think they also connect it with mafia invitation.. because now I can not send any mafia invite too.. 
So, let's just wait for 24 hour after our last gift sending.. if it is a bug, hope they can fix it as soon as possible!

it's a punishment from zynga for using the glitch. mayhaps
i think its a bug , i cant ask for gift on mafia save house too

you need to wait for 24 hrs. I got the same message earlier and now I could able to send.
nah, it's fixed already. it used to be 40 invites per day for every application, now facebook limits it to 20, i think zynga didn't foresee the problem
not interested in mafia wars..too many error ma...hope they will fix it as soon as posible
i guess itz a prob of internet exp. ... cause i was sending the request and when somebody send me a gift it say .. no request from the user ... i tried it from chrome and it worked ... so suggest them .. firefox or chrome
It's working now. Problem is that the gift invite have been reduced to 20 instead of 60. Looks like it was Facebook trying to reduce the amount of spam going around.
I had that problem 6 hours ago, it was with all hte applications that can send invites...now everything is working fine.
Must be a FB glitch!

it happened to me, it was so annoying, can't collect any!
Yeah gettin' tired of this. Wasn't able to send out requests yesterday, can today but now can recieve any....dang...
I wasnt able to send out requests yesterday or accept any gifts that had been given. Can send requests now but still cant receive ANY gifts. Get the message saying "you do not have any gifts available from this person". I have lost dozens this way. Have logged it with Zynga but still waiting for reply or fix.

I knew it! I knew there was something wrong bcos I tried recruiting using Firefox, IE, Chrome and Opera but same thing happens.

Still wont let me either. i cant invite to my mafia or anything
for a couple of days now i can only seem to send a small amount of gifts and when receiving them i can only receive a certian ammount i have over 1000 in mafia and they will probably kick me as i am not sending gifts, can you try and rectify this as soon as as it has taken me ages to get these friends on board and i do not want to loose them.
