The procedure is just the same as previous GIFT SAFE HOUSE on last year.. We'll receive our bonus if we're answering maximum of 5 our our mafia gift requests. But now we only have maximum of 10 gifts..
We have 1 free gift already.. open it for free.. And start to send your gift requests to your best mafias! Hopefully they can fulfill your request soon..
So far I got these 2 gifts..
I think they release this feature because they need more time to resolve the Rollback issues and also the launching of Bangkok. Do what you need to do, team! We can only give you time!

You can open the gifts you got for free, some of the accounts including mine has "Open Early:2GF" WTF??? Another Failed Release! We cant even open a single gift just because we dont want to waste our GF Points To Open them while most of the players are enjoying there free gifts, Ggrrr!!!
Yeah not everyone can open for free and I know alot of people that have gotten nothing but junk why do they give higher level players a lot of items that dont bring up their stats I think all these promos are for the newbie which is great but what about keeping the higher levels going else they will leave the game with no benefits

you can have maximum 10 gifts to open at a time, after you opened your gifts, it went back to being vacant... so, it's somewhat unlimited gifts to be received!
never got the second one yet, will see if it's like what the guys above said so. if we really need 2 GF to open.

cmon, on both accounts I've finished moscow a couple of weeks ago and I still play mafia wars every day. Honestly, sometimes I don't use my energypack coz I'll lose to much time (I got exams the whole month january). But there are enought things to do when you finish the 3 cities (p.e.: collecting 3000 top loot, finish all achievements, collecting all items in profile page, gift safe house, ... )

i really need help ppl! :/ last time the safe house was open ppl couldnt respond to my requests?.. wenever they clicked to send me a gift it would say "you have no requests from ________" plz help!! its really frustrating!!

Everyone - the bugs with not being able to send to friends and accept from friends is linked to you using IE8. Change over to Google Chrome (I use this only for MW) and you should be ok - get your friends to also use it. The problem lies with compatibility between Flash Player which MW uses and IE8.

Mine also require 2gf points each. I was affected by the rollback too, and reported it right away. I got almost 200 gf points and 85 skill point and the whole dillinger collection plus the overcoat and stolen police car, and because of that compensation i don't get all these items everyone else is getting for the rollback. remember those dillingers jobs where you got bulk dillingers items? i lost all of those, plus all the bangkok unlock items, about 2o lvls. Why does my account keep getting screwed?
How sad for me... 2nd day with no free gifts to open. WHAT A JOKE!!! The 10 gifts are sitting there since last night but, like the other players above, require 2 GF pts to open. How lame is this!!! Zynga - thanks for screwing us over! I have the screen shot to prove how lame this is.

Also, I remember, with the previous safe house, when I 'd opened all my gifts, the timer kept on, saying that you will be able to open another 5 gifts in 28 days and kept counting backwards, and the date would be 30 of January, now they 've taken it off, but maybe we will ba able to open them for free on 30 of January. And I think the ones who open them for free hadn't opened all their gifts in the previous safe house. If anyone had opened all his gifts and still opened for free these new ones, plz let me know. my other account is newer and about 50 and cannot open for free and has multiple gifts, im guessing it might ave something to do with when youre account was created o is random, anyways gl to all hope this info helps
i can open mine for free and it replaces a vacant when i open them so if i open all i always have 10 vacant. Sorry to here those with problems. I use Google Chrome and 1 out of 5 send gift requests said i didn't have a request from that person. Also, I have never been affected by any rollbacks ever and everything always works (knock on wood) I always read all the problems here and I wonder when something will happen to me but I am of the lucky few.

i have 2 accounts in MW ! one of them does have to pay any GF points for opening gift boxes and the other one has to pay 2GF for opening each! tell which one is glitch!??!
ok i have a strange one myself...... i had opened 15 gifts so far using 2 RP each. havent had an open vacancy since lastnite. no open for free on any of them. and i tried the special energy pack from the tool bar clicked on play now and for some reason it reset the timer at 8 hours but didnt get the energy refill... am i losing my mind.. someone gimme some idea here... hellfire1183

I got this code from inspect element in Chrome on an unopened gift I tried and change just the user Id for other account that is charging GF but I'm not a code genius maybe someone can figure it out here is code I put quotations around where the id is just remove that part replace with your own id but this is far as my knowledge goes come on someone gotta know help us please :P

wtf? all my gifts have status 'open' but when I click on it, it says 'you have no free gifts available'. Although my gift safe house is full with gifts :-\ I just can't open them.
The 1st 2 or 3 days it showed the 1st as free and the rest for 2 GF, after opening, the next moved over to the 1st and was free again.
After those days I could open whatever present from 1-10 for free.
No problems, maybe 2 or 3 times: "you have no free gifts available".
Untill now I've never let it fill up till 10.
But... Who knows when it's over... ?
When will BKK open... ?
Are we going to get a "timer" soon... ?
Most of us have a long list of gift requests, but only open 5 daily to receive the bonus. If we get a "timer" at least you can make sure that all your mafia members receive their final items/gifts...
