For you who have installed the toolbar and keep it, you will have one benefit.. See this screenshot below..
See the right side of the image? It's called Special Energy Pack! And the one on it's left is our normal Energy Pack.. so they have double of energy pack with different percentage amount of energy and the count-down timer..
- For normal energy pack, we have to wait until 23 hour and get our energy increase to 125% of max energy.
- For Special energy pack, we have to wait for 8 hour and get our energy increase to 25% of max energy. And it's continue giving special energy pack when we have used it.
I don't experience it because I have un-installed my toolbar long time ago.. so please correct me if I'm wrong..

The energy increase is *to* 25% of max. energy or is is energy increase *of* 25% of max. energy.
For ex. If my maximum energy is 100, and my current energy level before availing this boost is 20. Then after taking this "Special Energy Pack", my energy would be 25 or 45? Please clarify, Thanks
i believe u would get ur energy divided by 4... which based on ur example would be 25... i tink tis pack is onli gd for those energy acc

Yes, I think you'll have 45 energy :)
The feature is similar with current energy pack.. no matter how many energy you have now, you'll have the bonus of your MAX energy :)

click on the "play now" in the tool bar and it will give you the energy boost.
Lets say you have 1000 energy:
Every 24 hours you get your regular refill which is 1250 energy
Every 8 hours you get 250 energy
There must be a way to use the special energy pack without the toolbar, right? After all it must be just some kind of link.
I really don't want to install that ugly thing in my main browser (given that I'm using MWAP as well, there might even be consequences). I might consider setting up a portable browser as a temporary solution instead, though.
If you and a friend/brother play on the same computer, you better beat him to it as it does not work for multiple players on the same computer.
You can set up 2 profiles in firefox, for you and for your brother.
If you have user accounts on OS logon, than every user has its own browser settings automatically, unless its installed as Allusers soft.
But still, even if i click play now, nothing happens and energy remains unchanged, no matter if its full or depleted :)

what i am wondering is if this energy buff is automatic. meaning, if i have the toolbar on one computer and access another computer, would i automatically get the 25% if i use the computer without the toolbar or is it only if you are using the pc with the toolbar? obviously the achievement was based on the toolbelt loot item, since it came out later then the actual release. it would be nice to just get the 25% automatically no matter what workstation you are using, as long as it is the same account ... haha!

I use Google Chrome for Mafia Wars and all my browsing and I do not have the toolbar on there. I have the toolbar on Firefox so after using Google Chrome on MW all day nothing happened but just a moment ago I used firefox and it automatically gave me the energy bonus.

I should have been using the so long ago. I instaled it on internet explorer, because I use chrome for the item, but never even looked at it. all the energy I missed out on. :( But now I know :)
be aware that if you have the toolbar running, you are "online" for mafia wars and can be attacked even though you are not in Mafia Wars in the browser, which is really lame.

If you don't like the look of the Zynga tool bar then you may install it, then right click on the tool bar to hide it. When it is time to use the energy buff you just right click on it again to show it. This works in Firefox, but I am not sure about the other browsers. Hope this helps.

you can use it for 2 different people on the same computer if you install 1 on ie and the other on firefox. the only problem is i have to re-install it every time i want the boost, unless you can save the link

to anyone who has more tha 1 account and wants to use small energy pack. After useit on first account, you need to log off from toolbar ( not only account of FB) Than just close your browser ( all windows opened) then when you will log in to another account, toolbar will ask you also to log in. Small energy pack will be avaiable on this account
Same problem here Sascha, toolbar says mini shot of energy is ready but it won't work when clicking play now button...always worked previous to this morning

If you check the release notes, they changed some things with the toolbar (you will no longer show up on fight lists just because the toolbar is active, you must be logged into fb/mw) Hopefully this will be corrected soon!

My mini boost worked two days ago... now it's not working at all, even though it says "ready". Damn. Anyone hear some dirt about why this isn't working anymore? If you want to do away with it, then fine.... but don't tease me that it's ready!

For those of ypu who are unable to get the Mini Energy Buff by clicking 'Play Now' on the toolbar, try hiding the toolbar for 5 secs and then enable it again and try clicking on 'Play Now' again. Repeat if still does not work. Did the trick for me.

To get Mini Energy --
1) Click Tools -> click on Clear recent history -> select only Cookie & Cache preferences on websites and then click on Clear Now
2) Now you have to enter id and password on facebook and then click on Choose game that you see on toolbar -> Mafia Wars or Farmville and after that click on "Play Now".

by deleting history and cookies it worked for me.

get 50 reward points for installing the toolbar. i hadn't installed it yet so when i saw this i couldn't pass. installed the toolbar and have recieved my 50rp. the special energy pack is also a good bonus.

To use the special energy refill, only click in "Play Now" in the tool bar... it opens the MW site with a message "Congratulations! You received a Mini Energy Buff which increased your Energy by 200, from using the Mafia Wars Toolbar!"
