According to Mafia Wars Wiki, it is because of the glitch.. they have released new limited time item : Dragos! So somehow the item is missing now..
Is it probably because Dragos has the same ID as Corkscrew? If it is, it sucks! How come they can be careless in giving ID? 
This loot went missing on January 7, 2010
It is rumored that loot number of Drago accidental replaced that of Corkscrew causing the Corkscrew to be missing. There is no official word from Zynga.
Usually they will fix it and we'll have our Corkscrew again.. hope it soon!

ive got a glitch..my bagman is able to give me 15 % more money from doing jobs, but when i promoted him, its only 11 left..its with all my bagmen the same thing, please report ade!
my bagman has gone down on my account 2..
they changed the bagman to 11% max... like they did with some other too sometime ago...

Zynga screwed up here again. They gave the Drago the same ID# as the corkscrew... I had a drago before even shipping one.
And if you look carefully, the drago is placed in the inventory at such a place as if you got in a week ago.
Lousy game with a lousy developers. It's good to feel that I don't have to experience that anymore because I quit this game already. It's enough for pointless dissapointment and time to move on.. LOL

MY ITEMS ARE MISSING
Every time I view my profile, I can see my items but when I check my inventory (best offense : best defense) to see which among my items are the best, I just see the item "backdoor" on both.
help..
I had to write to Zynga to get it back into my items, I sent prove (pic) that i had it and they put it back
where is my inventory toolbar?? its suddenly changed to gifting toolbar. i can't even buy some equipment because there is no inventory toolbar. can someone help me???? awaits.
