Do you know what clan is?
I know there are lots of clans out there.. I have posted about what is clan and examples of some clans on this game. Of course they are raising as any of you can create one.
There are 2 kinds of clan, Open for public and Private one.
For Open for public clan, they accept anyone.. you can just become a member without any obligation to put a name tag in front of your mafia name. You can attack anyone even your own clan members.. The admin or GodFather of the clan only need high numbers of their mafia members, that's it.
But there is a Private clan. You have to request to join. And not only that, you have to prepare with enough Attack and Defense Skill Points to enter the clan. Some strong clan require you to have at least 2000 Attack and/or Defense Points! Then you also have to wear the clan tag in front of your mafia name.. You can not be in more than one clan.. etc..
So, what's so special about becoming a clan member? I'll try to summarize it on this post.
The Advantages of joining a clan
- You got lots of mafia familiy members from your clan
- Got protections from the admin, GodFather and other members of clan
- Some clans kind enough to share the loots & collections for free to make their members stronger
- You can get some infos (any news) from the mailing list of your clan
- Some thinks that joining a clan is a privilege, they are proud wearing a name tag! (I see some players who have lots of name tag on their mafia name)
- Some players will think twice to attack you on fight list or hit list.
- Etc

The Dis-advantages of joining a clan
- If you're on war with other clan, will be difficult for you to stay long in HitList (to obtain BullerProof achievement) because your opponent will hunt your clan members there.
- If you are wearing a name tag, will be hard for you to add others mafia.. hmm how to say this, some players are selective to choose their mafia. They will not add their opponents, right?
- Clans have their own rules that you need to follow.. For example, you can not interact with the outsiders of your clan.. you can not add more friends outside of your clan members, etc.- You can not attack other clan who allied with your clan. If you accidently attack one mafia on the fight list (who wearing a tag), can cause a war between 2 clans. It's hard to choose your opponent on the fight list in case you worry of making your clan's name bad or provoke a war!
- If you decide to get out of the clan (private one), be prepare with the bounty and a betrayal on your face!

As for me, I don't wanna join any clan at the moment. I don't want anybody to decide how to play this game. I wanna add more mafias.. I wanna trade with anyone.. I can attack anybody.. I can take a bounty on anybody.. I don't care if I lose in a fight, I'll add more skill points and strenghten my mafias!

Well as for me, I don't have a clan but enjoy beating people with clan tags :D
clans are for kids, if your a adult and in a clan your prob single and still live in your moms basement at that point
yahh.. i know about this clan things a long time ago.. im not really interested about it since i know it.. some a good clan, some a not.. for me as player of mw, its the same things u join or not join their clan. it still the game.. u still do jobs n fight each other..

joining a clan is really fun, especially a private one. i joined a really active and friendly clan which has dozens of contests every month. the prizes can range from a single Exec Oveercoat to a LOTTO SET. so when choosing a clan, i recommend joining a private clan, not a second rate mass add clan.
It's very funny when you attack one member of a clan and more of them attack you back and you win. LOL!

i prefer being a free agent, less restrictions than abiding by "rules" of the clans, but there are pros and cons as you stated, good article. what i don't like are those people with like 4+ tags of clans in their name that you can't even read their name, it's just clan tags ... that is stupid. i think clans should only let you be in one or two at the most ... some of those names are ridiculous.

Clans are lame. People who take the game WAY too seriously. It is actually pretty sad.

i joined a private clan...it's not that bad though...sometimes we receive loads of gifts , advice , hint , tips and so on...well...it's up to you to decide...

I am in a clan...and we are allowed to have anyone we want in our mafia and hit anyone we like. We only have one alliance in which we dont hit them unless they are on the hitlist. you review of clans was very one sided.
Being in a clan can be very helpful. Our clan ahs a supply shack. they send us loot and consumables to finish jobs. My numbers would be nowhere close to were they are now without my clan.

I'm with you.. i've been in lot's of Clans and the majority of them are gutless arseholes that will betray you just because they have to much time on their hands.
I'm happy being untagged now. I miss the wars but in the long run it's easier to stay untagged in my opinion. Especially the bigger clans that have alliances with 50+ others.. you wanna try remembering who you can and cant attack each time you are attacking on the hit-list/fight list, it becomes a pain in the butt. In the end it comes down to do the pro's out weigh the cons and if you've got a decent amount of mafia and your game is ok then you don't need them for protection and you can get same amount of trades un-tagged.
and becides who hasn't wanted to attack a killer clown, or LCN member on the hitlist. *BG do that tagged and you might start a war. Everyone to their own thou I still have tagged members and non tagged members in my mafia it matters little to me.
I'm un-tagging all my games atm. I just want to play MW's and not be arsed with the politics.

Not worth buying since there are better lootable weapons or armour in both moscow and cuba (not sure which one it is as havent bought it).
Same goes for the Airboat and Scarab 9mm Pistol.
Unless the item has either an Attack or Defence stat of over 43 (highest of any lootable items from moscow) there really isnt a point in buying them.
I made the mistake of buying loads of Taser Guns a while back when on sale and spent 100 GF points. Now they not even used in fights since i have much better loot from Moscow for free.
There are rarely any items worth buying for GF points - unless of course you like to collect.

haha i own clans. I had to leave the last couple of clans i was in cause the leaders were bitches, and i don't follow stupid orders unless i want too.

The character of these wusses on display everyday. Couldn't take a decent ass whooping if their lives depended on it. Bahaha so gay.
Here's some clans to stay away from:
[I.C.U] they knock their own players from the hit-list.
[S.D.A] Secret Deadly Assassins - hardly secret when your telling people your a deadly assassin. They have womans group called the Scorpions too though i could never quite tell which was which. Both soft and not fit to take out ma garbage.
{B.D.B} had fun with their fights but another gay group. Ended up getting caught up in some family feud and fought with an Alliance of one of my old groups lol. I punched the fuck out of their god father
for two days straight and still didn't win the competition, which was bullshit. lol
[V.B] fought with them when i was in {b.d.b} made a few strip their tags apparently and their god father quit. He's back now though lol
[W.I.S.E] & [S.I.N] had a lot of these douches attack me for a while must have stepped on someones toes lol
I beat most of them. But they come in hordes. Sort of like blowflies in the summer. lol
the only group(s) i'd join if i was recommending them would be.
Omerta - Cool guy in Omerta whooped my arse but gave me an add.
SBG - never had any problems with them
Like i said yesterday about being untagged. The fun part is. When you get attacked by tagged members you can whoop on 'em till the cows come home and make them realize that being tagged doesn't make you invincible by any means. The only benefit with tagging is that the players are usually daily and have a fair idea what they are doing and you will usually get strong players for your mafia.. But not always.

I beat tagged members if I see 'em. Have considered to join the [elite] once, but once I saw the disorder in their discussion board and how low they can get, I lost my interest.
So who will stop me to put a tag in front of my name as if i am a clan's member, without being such?

You need to be in a good clan to experience how much fun they are. You must find one that suits your way of playing, most will have an untagged site which you can join and find out if it is for you. I have been tagged for a long time, my game has direction and takes on many forms. We often take part in wars against other clans (no rules) also mock wars with our alliance clans. We have competitions between our own family and help one another out when necessary. If you are interested in joining a clan, make sure they are very active. To say only weak losers join clans is just stupid, we have strong, motivated players and they didn't get like that through playing with themselves.
