well maybe yes they are a waste of GF Points but some of them have great stats... but not better than chariots or tiger tanks

I got a Deadly Gold Crowbar with 27 Atk 23 Def. I say its a waste.. D:

Treasure chest is a new system of crates. It's only made players spent their reward points on it.
Thank you MW Maniac, for posting this blog title... also to those who commented!! Knowing what it is, I would say DON'T spend GFP on ONE possibility of getting strong item. One of this "chances" doesn't do your 501 Mafia any good at all!!!
I'd rather spend 2 GFP on additional daily chance ticket (when u hav 3) to get a permanent skill point!!

Better to have a permanent 4 skill point improvement for 14 points than to risk it with a 1 in 10 chance of getting something that would be better than what you already have...especially if you are already a high level or if you are deep within the Moscow levels...

These 'Treasure Chests' are anything but that. They're "Crapalicious". Buy an energy refill for 10 GF points instead. At least you stand a great chance to get several strong items for your mafia from loot drops.
Zynga should put 5 'treasures' in them to make it halfway whorthwhile.

It's annoying to have 47 of these. Who would have that many Godfather points. What they should do is make them rarer (as in actually rare) and give good items. That way people wouldn't have like a billion that are a waste to open.

Yeah at the discount from 9rp to 5rp it's definitely worth buying keys. And you don't have to use it immediately, just wait until some new items can be found in the chests. I already have 26 keys and keep planning to spend all my rp on the discounted keys, plus it might not last forever at 44% off.
After reading all these comments, I was abit apprehensive about opening my first golden chest. But did it anyways and got 10 godfather points in return...no items in the chest, just the godfather points - gain of 1 godfather point in total
Well I guess that I'm one of the lucky ones. I opened a mystery box which contained a gold key, but didn't think too much of it. I was doing a job and I got the pop-up saying that I found a gold treasure chest. I used my one gold key to open it, and lo and behold, it said I won 10 godfather points! I couldn't believe it, those 10 godfather points will definitely come in handy. I wouldn't waste any of my godfather points to open up one of those treasure chests though.
Opened 20 gold chest at once payed 18 x 4 GP + 2 x 9 gp. Got a bunch of great stuff, bonus3 sherman tanks (80 attack/forgot def,but smaller) many other bonus treasure chest keys. When started had 18 Gp - now I have 187 GP lol!!! 2x100Gp 2x50 Gp and 3x10Gp was worth it Pretty much I think - woohooo!!!!!!!!!!And these point are thats left to keep...:D U can summarize what I spend/gained and decide is it worth using gold keys for gp or not. My advice is to wait for discount like 5 GP for one key, or like in my example -4 Gp for one... good luck with yours treasures people :P
