Yesterday, I have posted about this one.. that you can get Loyalty Points from accepting gift request from your mafia..
From helping mafia from their job help..
Answering Crime Spree request..
And this one from claiming Daily Chance reward..
They are really creative on this one! 
And why do have to collect our Loyalty Points?
Because you can upgrade your membership to get more privileges and also able to buy some items from the Marketplace using Loyalty Points..
Zynga added loads of crap for Emerald rank players, together with some pretty good items for Gold and Diamond players.
Check them all on the Marketplace..

we can be golden players without buying RP's?
im not 100% sure, but i think we cant. I have about 200 loyalty points (400 loyalty points needed to gold level) but im still 90% away from gold membership. There was the same when i had 20 loyaly points :(
