Zynga's New Rules Of "Icing"

Hello,

Perhaps you don't believe this, but I have so many people complaining to me that their account is disabled by FaceBook for posting ICING thingy all over their FaceBook wall..

And then I got this info from one clan.. I don't know if this is true or not.. just forwarding for our safety on this game!

Just wanted to make sure everyone is aware of Zynga's New Rules for no one gets banned, just received in my email from an admin of another clan.

New Rules :
* Maximum Iced per Player is 50 - 100 depending on Level, per 24 hours.
* Maximum Iced Posted to wall is 50 - 100 depending on Level, per 24 hours.
* More than 50 or 100 Will be banned from Mafia Wars. You got PINK Screen for notice..

Tips :
* When you iced another player..and Your Screen goes PINK......than STOP....Do not ICED again... STOP Immediately...
* Wait until 24 Hours and than Start ICED again.

Lots of people are so proud of publishing this feature on their wall.. it's fine.. but just be careful of being disabled from FaceBook or banned from Mafia Wars! Trinity's mood

This is so gay that there banning people for having 100+ iced, why don't they just turn off the addon to post to the feed.

Ade! Don't be fooled... this is a myth. There is absolutely no reason zynga would limit the number opportunities they give you to provide them with free advertising. ;)

I think this is bananas. If Zynga wanted to limit icing, they could do so via coded restrictions. Clean, reliable and quietly.

I don't completely understand this entry but it sounds like BS to me. I doubt Zynga has any stupid rule about posting "icing" to the wall. Zynga is a for-profit business. It wants people to buy it's proct (GF points). This supposed "new rule" goes against a sound business practice. I say this is a fabrication.

that is obsurd.

start limiting how many jobs an energy account can do. that seems fair to me.

So let me see if I get it, I can't ice more then 100 players per day ??? If it's possible, then it's a game bug... they should fix it instead of banning players.

zynga has confirmed that this is not true!

Seriously? You aren't willing to post a cheat, but you are willing to post false information that doesn't help any body, and only hurts them? This rule is fake, and it's obviously fake, but when somebody tells you a true cheat that will only have a slight chance of hurting people, you choose to hurt your readers by posting untrue info, but not by posting true info... That's screwed up man... your worse than Zynga!

Feed now is like ghost town. What become an intetsting game ended so restrictive is so damn sad and irritating. At the end of the day fb van just add more server to handle the load but I guess zygna refuse to share the cost. I wonder what next........,.

Anonymous said... [Reply to comment]

This is false.

It is true you will get a pink slip from Facebook if you post too many Ices per-day as it is considered to facebook of a "repeative action" that some may find annoying.

Mafia wars does not care..you can ice 1000s a day within the game and nothing will happen.

Facebook cares just if you spam everyone with your ices..

it s a good thing .. well it s about time ! Zynga is overwhelmong my facebook .. yeah I play with my real account .. and I see way more posts from mafia wars or other Zynga games on my newsfeed than things from my real friends ( remember ? facebook is a way to get news from your friends or to find your old pals from the school ) and then they force me to accept them to do so in my email box .. and now on my own cell ... well I love mafia wars and tried all other Zynga games but it s going too far .. they should just open a site of their own ... I dont post things from mafia wars cuz I respect the fact that my real friends who dont play the game dont like their newsfeed to be cluttered with me begging for guns and bricks ... I sometimes see people posting everything they do .. level up , iced , asking for help asking for parts but I dont even know them personally .. I should have known and get a secondary account when I started the game ..and Zynga should let us switch our MW account to another FB account .. now it s going too far ...

This new rule really sucks :(

Personally, I'm glad for this. It's one thing to be proud for icing, but it's just obnoxious to post each and every one. Post every fifth or tenth one, at the very least. My newsfeed is clogged enough with 1800+ mafia, there's no reason to post each and every single kill or level up.
