I just have run mine and I got plenty items for free...

I see some animals that I have never seen before..

Where did they come from?

The Giant Octopus and Big Horn Sheep!

I know in Vegas we have Bighorn and also Bighorn Ram!

Yes, they are look the same with different stats!

But this Bighorn Sheep, I have no idea..

Been checking Mafia Wars Wiki, but no explanation available for these animals yet.. Been looking at the Private Zoo and also the Port in Italy, nope!
